Earlier this morning, Acer officially introduced their new low-cost, Eee PC like mini laptop called the "Aspire
One". Similar to the ASUS Eee PC & MSI Wind PC, Acer's Aspire One will come in the 8.9-inch form factor and
will be powered by Intel's Atom processor.
The 2 pound Acer Aspire One measures 9.8" x 6.7" x 1.14" and the claimed battery life is nearly 6 hours. It
comes standard with regular 802.11b/g WiFi but in future it will offer 3G support for mobile broadband.
Just like other low-cost laptops, Aspire One will also feature some user friendly Linux OS. The pre-installed
software on Aspire One would be separated by functions and presented in four distinct areas on the screen –
Connect, Works, Fun and Files.
